Lead recovery for roofing & HVAC

Every missed call is a job your competitor just booked.Let's stop that.

Your phone rings while you're on a roof, in an attic, or shoulder-deep in an install. The caller doesn't leave a voicemail — they call the next name on the list.

We install the system that answers, replies, books and follows up — twenty-four hours a day, including the ones you're asleep for.

No pitch · we'll map exactly what you're missing · you keep the map either way

The arithmetic

You already know you miss calls. You've never put a number on it.

Use your own figures. We're not going to invent an industry statistic at you.

Walking past you every year

$468,000

Missed calls × 52 weeks × your average job × your own win rate. Change the numbers — most owners lower the missed-call count, then remember the weekends.

What we install

Five systems. They run whether you're available or not.

01

AI receptionist

Answers every call, day or night. Asks your qualifying questions, gives your answers, books straight into your calendar, and hands off to a human when it should. It never has a bad morning and it never puts anyone on hold.

24 / 7
02

Missed-call text-back

If a call goes unanswered, the caller gets a text within sixty seconds — before they've finished dialling your competitor. Most replies come back inside two minutes, and the conversation continues in writing while you finish what you're doing.

Under 60 seconds
03

Speed-to-lead

Web form, Google, Facebook, your website chat — every new enquiry gets an instant reply and a booking link. Not "within the hour, if someone remembers." Instantly, at 11pm on a Sunday.

Instant
04

Review engine

The job finishes, the request goes out automatically, and the good ones get routed to Google. Reviews are the first thing your next customer reads and the thing that decides whether they call you or the company above you.

Automatic
05

Database reactivation

You already have hundreds of past customers and dead leads sitting in a spreadsheet or a CRM nobody opens. We run a campaign across them — properly, with consent handling and opt-outs — and turn the ones who are ready into booked appointments. This is usually the fastest money in the entire build, because you already paid to acquire these people once.

Quarterly
Built around your trade

The same five systems. Configured for how your trade actually takes work.

Roofing

  • Storm surges answered at volume, without hiring for a week you can't predict
  • Insurance-claim callers routed differently from cash jobs, from the first question
  • Inspections booked into the calendar while the caller is still on the phone
  • Active-leak calls flagged as urgent and pushed straight to a human
  • Quote follow-up that keeps going after the estimate is sent — the place most roofing money is lost
  • Every yard sign, door-knock and referral tracked to the call it produced

HVAC

  • No-heat and no-cool emergencies triaged and escalated to a human out of hours
  • Maintenance-plan renewals chased automatically instead of never
  • Seasonal reactivation to every customer who bought a unit five years ago
  • Cancellations backfilled from a short-notice list the same morning
  • Commercial callers kept separate from residential in the routing
  • Warranty and repeat visits recognised before the customer has to explain themselves
How fast

Live in fourteen days.

Days 1–2

We map your calls. Where enquiries come from, what happens to them now, and where they fall through. You get that map whether or not you go ahead.

Days 3–7

We build. Numbers, scripts in your voice, calendar rules, qualifying questions, opt-out handling and compliance setup. You review before anything speaks to a customer.

Days 8–11

We test on you. You and your team call in, break it, and tell us what sounds wrong. We rewrite until it sounds like your business rather than a robot.

Days 12–14

Go live, watched closely. Every conversation reviewed daily for the first fortnight, and tuned. Nothing is left running on assumptions.

Ongoing

We run it. Monthly reporting in plain English: calls answered, calls recovered, appointments booked, reviews collected.

The part most people skip

Automation that can't be used against you.

Text messaging is regulated. Marketing texts to consumers need consent, working opt-outs, and a registered sender. We register your business properly, build consent capture into every entry point, and honour opt-outs automatically. A cheap setup that skips this can expose you to real penalties — and it is exactly the corner most automation sellers cut.

Emergencies go to a human. A no-heat call in February and an active leak in a storm are not conversations for an automated assistant to own. We define what counts as urgent for your business, and those calls escalate immediately with everything the caller has already said attached — so nobody repeats themselves and nothing waits until morning.

We disclose that it's automated. Callers are told they're speaking to an assistant. Pretending otherwise is dishonest, and in a growing number of states it's also illegal. In practice it costs you nothing: customers care far more about being answered than about who answered.

You approve the words. Nothing speaks to your customers until you've read it and signed it off.

Investment

Start with the leads you've already paid for.

Start here · Lead Reactivation
$1,500 one-time

then $500 / month to keep it running

You have thousands of old leads sitting in a spreadsheet or a CRM nobody opens. People who called about a roof three winters ago, asked for a quote, and never bought. Your team assumes they weren't interested. Most of them just weren't ready that week.

We clean the list, work out who can legally be contacted, and run a proper reactivation campaign across email and text — with consent handling, working opt-outs, and replies routed to whoever answers your phone. Then we tell you exactly what came back.

You already paid to acquire these people once. This is the cheapest way to find out whether the system works on your business before you commit to running it on your new leads too.

What the monthly doesn't cover

The retainer covers running and improving the system we built: monitoring workflows, reviewing and tuning conversations, adjusting follow-up sequences, one campaign update a month, reporting, and small changes.

It doesn't cover website redesigns, ad management and ad spend, social media content, or rebuilding a CRM from scratch. Those are real work and we quote them separately rather than quietly absorbing them until the service gets worse for everyone.

Founding rate — our first four builds

We're new to roofing and HVAC and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise. The first four builds go in at 25% off, locked for twelve months — in exchange for your honest feedback and, if it works, permission to use your numbers. After those, the rate is the rate.

Phone numbers and message usage are billed at cost and typically run $30–80 a month depending on volume. Ad spend, if you ever run any, is paid directly by you and never through us.

Is this you?

Honest about who this works for.

This is for you if

  • Your average job is worth more than a few hundred dollars
  • The phone is how customers actually reach you
  • You or your team are physically unable to answer during the working day
  • You have a list of past customers you've never marketed to
  • You'd rather fix the leak than pour more leads into the bucket

This isn't for you if

  • You have a full-time receptionist who answers every call already
  • Your jobs are low-value and high-volume — the maths doesn't work
  • You want a chatbot on a website and nothing else
  • You want it to sound like a person and never be disclosed as automated
  • You're not willing to review scripts before they go live

Who you'll be working with

You'll deal with the person who builds it.

Julia Skiba founded JJ Insight. She read for her MSc at Oxford (distinction) and trained in consumer insight at Kantar Worldpanel in London — the discipline of working out what a customer is thinking before they say it. She has also run businesses with staff, payroll and a phone that rang while she was doing something else.

There's no account manager, no offshore team, and no ticket queue. You call, she answers.

Honest answers

Before you book.

Will it sound like a robot?

It sounds like a competent receptionist working from your script — your words, your terminology, your way of describing a job. Most of the fortnight before launch goes on exactly this: you and your crew call in, tell us what sounds wrong, and we rewrite until it sounds like your company. You'll hear it and sign it off before a single customer does.

What happens to a call it can't handle?

It hands off. You set the rules — an emergency, an angry customer, a question outside the script — and the call routes to you or whoever you nominate, with a summary of what's already been said so nobody repeats themselves.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. We work alongside your existing number. Nothing about how customers reach you changes.

What if it books someone I don't want?

That's what the qualifying questions are for, and it's the part we spend the most time on. If the wrong jobs are getting through in week two, we tighten it. That tuning is included, not billed.

I've been sold "AI" before and it was nonsense.

Reasonable. The difference we'd point to is that this isn't a product licence — it's a build, configured around how your business actually takes work, tested by you before launch and tuned daily for the first fortnight. And we'll tell you on the call if we don't think the numbers justify it for your business.

How long am I tied in?

The build is one-time. The management is month to month after the first ninety days — we ask for a quarter because the first month is setup and tuning, and judging it before then wouldn't tell either of us anything.

Do you do the marketing too?

For most of these businesses we'd rather fix the leak before adding more water. If you also want content and lead generation, we do that — but it's a separate conversation and we won't sell it to you in the same breath.
